I had a great time painting this, my second largest mural, in Bristol England for the annual Upfest mural festival. "Something Melty This Way Comes" portrays an idealistic scene of happy characters, most unaware of the impending doom closing in. In this time of divisive political changes, there never seemed to be a better time to paint this. My trusty assistant Spike helped me over the 4 and half cloudy rainy days it took for us to complete it. It was really great to create this colorful piece on a Salvation Army in a rather sketchy area of Bristol; the local police call that block "the black hole."
