In late 2012, Will.I.Am teamed up with Coca-Cola for an iniative called Ekocycle, which was a collection of next-level recycled products. Will.I.Am had cleverly reversed the Coke letters for the name of the campaign. For the launch party in NYC, Coke asked me to paint on a billboard. Since the campaign was really about transformation, I thought that the letters should start simple and iconic and then gradually become more abstract and detailed. The piece became the centerpiece at the party and I was very happy to a part of the project!
